Lenny’s Legacy is a registered charity (No: 1201987), which aims to support parents bereaved through pregnancy, infant or child loss. The organisation was founded by bereaved parents Roy and Mim in loving memory of their two sons Lenny and Bhai who tragically died.
Lenny’s Legacy bolsters bereaved parents’ support networks by providing training and online resources on numerous topics relating to loss, tailored to specific audiences. This is based on the premise that the people best placed to support bereaved parents are those who are already in their lives and know them well, we therefore provide the tools to, ‘support the supporters’
We offer high-quality training for healthcare professionals, lawyers, employers and other people who come into contact with bereaved parents in a professional capacity. Our training is unique as it combines personal stories and practical tools. We utilise our professional backgrounds in psychology, Social Work, research and education to develop evidence-informed practical frameworks and tools and use our stories and stories from other bereaved parents to apply these.
Additionally, we provide video and written online information and resources on various topics which are customised for different audiences such as for parents, family, friends and professionals. These provide accessible, bitesize and usable pieces of information all informed by theory and research, policy and practice and the lived experience of bereaved parents and their families.
Put simply, Lenny’s legacy helps people to be there for others when they are experiencing the devastating loss of a child in the immediate, short, and long term.
